13th century
This hermitage belonged to the Order of St. John of Jerusalem and is surrounded by a grove of trees. It has a nave with collar roof, a rectangular main chapel with pointed barrel vault and semicircular apse with quarter-sphere vault. On the northern side, can be seen a modern belfry.
The framework is of brick completely and its plan has a single nave and in the head part can be seen a semicircular apse and large chancel. On the outside, the apse has seven blind arches, and the chancel has three arches on the Epistle Side and two on the Gospel Side. The walls contain double blind arches and typical brick friezes.
The walls are reinforced with loopholes and covers. The southern and northern doorways are original. In the southern part, there is a different brick shade due to renovations. They have three pointed archivolt resting on scotia imposts.
The roof of the nave is of wood, and the chancel contains 13th-century murals. Some of them are related to passages about the life of Jesus and Solomon. It is in this temple there is a wood carving of the “Santísimo Cristo de las Batallas” (Most Holy Christ of the Battles), patron saint of the town.
