11th century
It belongs to the first walled enclosure placed next to the DoñaUrraca's gate. It belonged to Doña Urraca, who was daughter of Ferdinand I and Lady of Zamora.
It became a municipal property possibly thanks to a royal donation, appearing as part of the properties of the City Council in the 16th century. Later, it was transformed into a barracks and in the late-19th century it was used as inn, an activity that continued until the 50's. Today it houses an information point about the city evolution and exhibitions.
The city can be contemplated from this point thanks to a high section of the city wall that contains the palace.
