12th century
It was built on a 12th-century Romanesque hermitage. From this temple have been preserved masonry walls, rather rude corbels and a mullioned window.
The church has a single nave, cruciform plan and square and plain presbytery. The church was renovated in the late-18th and placed against it was built the convent enclosure consisting of a U-shape series of rooms around a large central space. It has a small central cloister made up of arches and an outdoor patio.
It houses the most venerated image of Fermoselle: the Christ of Santa Coloma dating from the 9th century or 12th century, depending on the historians.
